The AC power 220V is entered to through input of transformer-T1 to reduce voltage as 9VAC, then wire connected to four diode D1-D4 as bridge rectifier became to 11VDC, then the current is filtered to dc voltage that low ripple output and then the voltage is regulated to 6VDC constant voltage by IC-KA7805( IC-7805 type) In normal it is used for 5 volt only but now we add two resistor to determined output voltage is 6 volt and passed through diode 1N4002-D6 to output is 6 volt.

How it works
In the circuit below can be seen that, when opening switch S1 is current through the transformer. To convert from 220V AC to 18V, then through diode bridge rectifier BD1. But is a DC supply that still not smooth. Then, a filter capacitor C1 serves electricity, out of BD1 to be more smooth with the LED1 to show that power is supplied to already.
When the filter current is smooth on one order. The current will through the regulator circuit that the main components are IC1(LM317T) and Q1(2N3055).
-IC1 is the regulator IC number : LM317T.
-Q1 is power transistor NPN type number : 2N3055.

Power Regulator +12V_-12V by 7812 , 7912

I plan to show you, with an interesting concept.When I was make pre-amplifier circuit is small. I did not plan on the power supply. It requires low supply current is only 100mA. But the need for dual voltage. Or 3 line is +12 V,-12V and Ground. At that time, I have not the least knowledge and a few equipments. The regulator ICs I use IC7812 and IC7912 (hard to bought). I make this circuit. It works great.

In circuit I use diodes D1, D2, only both because I’d forgotten to add, and this is a low current, using a half-wave diode rectifier enough. and The transformer is 300mA -15V CT 15V that cheap than other sizes.
-IC1-IC2 do not need to hold the heat sinks because the very low currents.
-LED1 is indicator to Power ON that R1 is the current limiter of LED1.
-C1,C2,C3,C4 are first filter that time I has them many so place various 2200uF.
How to built.
This project I put them in peforated board, it easy to use, and so cheap. But at time I put wrong pin capacitor, when entering the power supply, causing it to burst. I was shocked very much.But I do not Discontinued this project.

5V Low Drop Out Regulator Low Volt by BD438

The general regulator circuit, need input voltage is higher than the output voltage. So cannot apply to the input voltage is higher just little than the need voltage. But this circuit you can have the five volt output from input voltage only six volt of the normal battery.
